Romeoville Aquatic Center Opening Sept. 10
The grand opening celebration will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Aquatic Center will celebrate its grand opening of the brand-new 22,000-square-foot facility on Sept. 10.
The center was originally supposed to open earlier this month, but opening was delayed.
The grand opening celebration will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m., with free outdoor activities until 4 p.m. Residents and members can register for indoor swimming time slots starting on Aug. 28, at the Romeoville Recreation Center, according to the Village.

No registration is required for the outdoor splash park, which will be open from 10 a.m. to dusk on Sept. 10.
The new aquatic facility features an indoor pool with zero-depth entry and an interactive play area, according to the Village. There is also a 3-lane, 20-yard lap pool. Other features include a winding river, vortex pool, aquatic volleyball and basketball court area, and a 150-foot-long slide.
