Romeoville Aquatic Center Opens Aug. 14
The brand-new 22,000-square-foot facility includes an indoor pool, interactive play area, winding river and more.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — After years of planning and construction, Romeoville's Aquatic Center is set to open on Aug. 14. A ribbon cutting and grand opening is planned for 1 to 7:30 p.m. that day, for aquatic members and residents only.
There will be food trucks, games, activities, and more. Registration is required for the event.
Normal hours of operation will then begin on Aug. 15 for the brand-new 22,000-square-foot aquatic facility.

The facility features an indoor pool with zero-depth entry and an interactive play area, according to the Village. There is also a 3-lane, 20-yard lap pool. Other features include a winding river, vortex pool, aquatic volleyball and basketball court area, and a 150-foot-long slide.
The center is open all year.

Outdoors, there is a new 2,600-square-foot splash pad, with 50 spray features for all age groups, according to the Village.
