Romeoville Blotter: Retail Theft, Possession of Cannabis

These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Aug. 6

Stacey Pruitte, of the 200 block of Lincoln in Joliet, was charged with retail theft.

Aug. 8

Four 17-year-old juveniles were charged with theft under $500 stemming from an incident on the 900 block of W. Romeo Rd.

Aug. 11

Two juveniles were charged with retail theft stemming from an incident on the 400 block of S. Weber Rd.

Aug. 13

A theft under $500 was reported in the 300 block of Hemlock. While at a garage sale, the victim left her wallet and cell phone on a table while she looked at item. While she was distracted, the items were picked up by two people who left the garage sale quickly. The items are estimated to have a value of $440.00.

Aug. 14

Kimberly Denos, 43, of the 700 block of Rogers Rd. in Romeoville, was charged with retail theft.

Aug. 17

Rodolfu Ortiz, 21, of the 13600 block of S. Kendall in Plainfield, was charged with possession of drug equipment and possession of cannabis.
