Romeoville, Bolingbrook Seniors Selected as State Scholars

Some 108 Valley View School District 365U high school seniors have been named Illinois State scholars in honor of their high levels of academic achievement, an increase of 5 percent over last year.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission State Scholar Program recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement. Selection of Illinois State Scholars is based on SAT, ACT and/or Prairie State Achievement Exam scores, and/or class rank at the end of junior year.

“This is a prestigious award,” ISAC Executive Director Eric Zarnikow said. “Illinois State Scholars are among the best and the brightest of Illinois high school seniors in the Class of 2016. The combination of their exemplary college entrance examination scores and record of high school achievement indicates each student has a high potential for success in college.”
