Romeoville Citizens Police Academy Registration Deadline Is Aug. 25

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville-area residents are invited to sign up for the free Citizens Police Academy, get to know the members of the Romeoville Police Department and learn more about why officers make the decisions they do. Students must be at least 18 and priority is given to residents of the village. Classes start Sept. 12, and applications are due by Aug. 25.

Topics include: Gangs, Criminal/Traffic Law, Traffic stops, Firearms safety, K-9 unit and more. Classes are from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays for 12 weeks.

Applications are available online or at the Romeoville Police Department, 1050 W. Romeo Road.
