Romeoville Cops Release Photos of Dunkin Donut Burglary Suspects

Police are releasing photos of two burglary suspects taken from surveillance video who are believed to be responsible for the burglary of a Romeoville donut shop and perhaps others in the area.

Romeoville police officers responded to a burglary at Dunkin Donuts, 239 S. Weber Road, around 1:01 a.m. March 2.

The suspected burglar entered the store by shattering the glass door with a pry tool. While inside, security video captured the suspect damaging a TV screen in the lounge area. Approximately $600 was stolen from the donut shop, police said.

Prior to hitting the donut shop, police believe that the suspect and a possible accomplice went to a local Menards store to buy a crowbar, as shown in the released photos. A gray Mercedes parked in the background is believed to be the suspects’ car.

Det. Mike Ryan, of the Romeoville Police Department, theorizes that the one person enters and robs the donut store, while his alleged accomplice waits outside in the getaway car.

The suspect is also believed to have hit seven Dunkin Donut stores within the past few weeks in Batavia, Oswego, Aurora, Yorkville, and St. Charles.
