Romeoville Earns Eighth Consecutive Financial Reporting Award

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville's finance department has earned its eighth consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, according to the Village.

This award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada means the village's annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended on April 30, 2021, was judged to meet the high standards of the program, the Village said.

This includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report, according to the Village.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, the Village said.
