Romeoville Honors Former Trustee, Business Owner
Spandonidis was a former Trustee for eight years, and also the owner of Mongo McMichael's.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — At its Wednesday meeting, the Romeoville Village Board honored Stavros "Steve" Spandonidis for his service to the Village and the business community.
Spandonidis was a former Trustee for eight years from 1997 to 2005, and was also the owner of Mongo McMichael's.
"He's been a business owner in the community for over 40 years; multiple businesses," Mayor John Noak said during Wednesday's meeting. "He has done numerous things in the community in that time."

Mongo McMichael's, a bar and restaurant at 1101 N. Independence Boulevard, closed at the end of May in Romeoville. A new restaurant, Pop's Pizza, will open at the location.
"Good luck in your next chapter, Steve, and thank you," the Village shared on its Facebook.
