Romeoville Looks To Hire Police Officers
The Village is seeking candidates for the position of police officer and position of lateral transfer police officer.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville's Board of Fire and Police Commission is seeking qualified candidates for the position of police officer and position of lateral transfer police officer, according to the Village.
The Commission is trying to establish an eligibility registry for current or future openings in the police department. Registrations must be done by Dec. 4, according to the Village.
Entry-level police officer qualifications include: must be a citizen of the United States, must be between 20 and 35 years of age (21 by appointment), must have a valid driver's license, and have proof of a high school diploma or GED.

There will be a mandatory orientation and written exam at 10 a.m. on Dec. 9 at A. Vito Martinez Middle School, in Romeoville, according to the Village website.
