Romeoville Man Arrested for DUI After Head-On Collision

A 45-year-old Montgomery woman was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center.

A Romeoville man was arrested for driving under the influence after he caused a head-on collision, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Mark Beimal, 44 of the 10 block of Elgin Ave. in Romeoville, was traveling on Route 126 and Hopkins Road in Yorkville was he allegedly entered oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Montgomery woman, who was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Beimal was issued citations for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was also found to be under the influence of drugs, according to police.
