Romeoville Man's Death a Homicide: Coroner
15-year-old charged, man in custody following early morning incident in Romeoville.

UPDATED:
A 55-year-old man was pronounced dead at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital early Sunday after a reported altercation in the 400 block of Tallman.
The Will County Coroner’s office identified the man as Richard Pollack of Romeoville.

Romeoville police responded to a report of a disturbance involving several subjects armed with baseball bats at around 2 a.m. Sunday, according to a press release issued by the police department. Officers who arrived found Pollack, who was critically injured. Pollack was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two suspects were found in the area and taken into custody, according to police.

The coroner’s office said Pollack’s death, which police described as an “isolated incident,” is being investigated as an apparent homicide.
Sunday night, police said one of the suspects, a 15-year-old juvenile, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery in connection with the incident.
The second offender, an adult male, is being held pending further investigation by Romeoville police, Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said.
“The police department wants to reassure the public that there is no public safety risk due to this incident,” police said in a press release.
