Falls aren’t just a normal part of getting older, they are preventable and there are some simple steps you can take to stay independent longer. Come listen to “Right at Home” give tips on how to live a safer life. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Age: 55 and up Fee: FREE Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
30th Annual Senior Bowling Olympics - November 3
Event includes three games of scratch bowling, awards, and lunch (shoe rental not included) at Strike ‘N Spare in Lockport. To register for Lunch only - code 17F539 (Fee: $12/R - $12/NR).

Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research - November 9
For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to optimize our physical and cognitive health as we age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. Rules of the Road - November 16
The Rules of the Road Review Course is designed to give drivers – especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities – the knowledge and confidence needed to renew or obtain a driver’s license.

Christmas Cookie Decorating - December 20
Spend the day with Natalie decorating Christmas Sugar Cookies to take home and enjoy. All supplies and coffee will be provided, but you can bring your own supplies, too!

“It is important for us to provide activities for our senior citizens,” remarked Mayor Noak. “Having options to keep them active and engaged, especially free options, is something we take great pride in.”

No ride to the Rec Center? No problem! Romeoville’s Ride Around Town program can pick you up and bring you to the Rec Center and back home again for as little as $3. To schedule a pickup, call the Rec Center at 815-886-6222. Appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
