Romeoville Offers Veteran Banner Program For 2024

The banners will be displayed from May to November on light poles in front of Village Hall.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville will continue its veteran and service member banner program in 2024, and orders are now being accepted from veterans.

The program is a way to remember or honor a veteran in your life with a vinyl banner that will be displayed on the light poles in front of Village Hall, according to the Village website. The veteran must be a current resident of Romeoville, or if deceased, had previously lived in Romeoville.

The banners will be displayed from May to November.

A new banner is $45, and a renewal banner is $20, according to the Village. Orders must be received by Jan. 1.

Only 40 banners will be hung per year, and banners will be given to those who purchased them at the end of November, according to the Village.

Part of the proceeds of the program will go toward the Veterans Commission scholarship fund, and veterans assistance programs.
