Romeoville OKs New Comprehensive Plan
The document focuses on development on Weber Road, in Uptown Square and in the Lewis University district.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeovile Village Board last week approved an updated Comprehensive Plan made possible by a grant from the Chicago Metropolitan Area for Planning (CMAP). The village worked closely with its consultant, Teska Associates of Evanston on an extensive planning process. The plan was shaped through a variety of public meetings with key community stakeholders including business owners and school officials as well as members of the community.
The 2017 Comprehensive Plan outlines a vision for future land uses, transportation routes, and development options for the next 10 to 15 year, focusing on three key development areas which include the Weber Road corridor, Uptown Square and the Lewis University district.
“The Comprehensive Plan is vital to our continued growth as a community,” said Mayor Noak. “This new plan will put us on a great path for the next decade. We greatly appreciate the community’s participation through this process.”
