Romeoville Police Respond to Gunshot Call

Romeoville, IL - (08/27/21) On August 27th, 2021 at approximately 2:04 a.m. Romeoville Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Honeytree Drive in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, officers found a 20-year-old deceased male with a gunshot wound outside of a home. Responding officers immediately secured the area. During the initial investigation, information had been developed to indicate the victim was targeted by a mutual subject. There is no reason to believe there is a danger to the community. The investigation is being conducted by members of the Romeoville Police Department Investigations Unit.
