ComEd Command Center Offers Water, Charging Stations To Romeoville Residents

Shelter is also available for those who are still without power after Sunday's storms.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — With more than 3,000 residents still without power after Sunday afternoon's storm, ComEd set up a command post Monday morning at Edward Hospital Athletic & Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave. in Romeoville. Village officials said residents can get water and ice at the center, and use charging stations for their mobile devices.

Officials said Romeoville Public Works crews continue storm cleanup efforts, including picking up downed tree limbs and branches. The village urged residents to use a professional service to clean up damaged trees when possible.

"Please keep brush and branches between three and eight feet in length," officials said in a news release. "Brush must be stacked on the parkway in front of the home with the cut ends toward the street. Due to volume, we ask for your patience as crews work diligently to remove debris. This may take several days."
