Romeoville Property Tax Rate Projected to Go Down Again
The Village portion of the property tax bill has been lowered eight years in a row

The preliminary tax levy for 2022/23 was presented at tonight’s Village Board Meeting and the Village rate on property taxes is projected to be lowered again next year. Numbers will be finalized in early spring, but will likely not exceed the current projections.
“Everyone at the Village works hard to lower the tax rate,” said Mayor John Noak. “That being said, there are many other taxing bodies in our county and each controls their own rate. The Village of Romeoville continues to do its part to lower its rate.”
For 2021 property taxes, only 8-11% of an owner’s property taxes (depending on where the property is located) were collected by the Village of Romeoville. The Village portion of the property tax bill has been lowered eight years in a row.
