Romeoville Receives Financial Reporting Award

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville's Finance Department has received its ninth consecutive certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting, the Village shared on Facebook.

The Village said the award is from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, and it means the Village's annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending on April 30, 2022, was judged to meet the high standards of the program.

The certificate is the highest form of recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting, according to the Village. Part of the standards of the program includes demonstration a "spirit of full disclosure," the Village said.
