Romeoville Receives Grant Funds for Another Multi-Use Path

Will stretch from Normantown Road south to Taylor Road

A new multi-use path will soon stretch from Normantown Road south to Taylor Road thanks to grant funds from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). The path will start near the Village Place Apartments on Normantown and will linkup to the existing path along Taylor Road, ultimately integrating it into the village’s network of paths.

“Grant funding continues to make the expansion of our multi-use paths possible,” stated Mayor John Noak. “We would like to thank CMAP and IDOT for their support.”

This should be a very scenic trail, as much of the land on either side of it is undeveloped. Bidding for the construction of the project is expected to open July 31, 2020.
