Romeoville Receives Grant for Future Land Use

72 applications were submitted and Romeoville was one of 22 projects selected for the 2016 program.

Romeoville received a grant from Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), as part of its Local Technical Assistance program to develop a new comprehensive land use plan.

This plan will direct future growth and development across a number of critical issues and areas in Romeoville including future land use and development, transportation and mobility, and the preservation and enhancement of environmental features and open space.

72 applications were submitted and Romeoville was one of 22 projects selected for the 2016 program. The grant is funded at 80 percent with a required 20 percent local match.

”We are optimistic that the new land use plan will provide a blueprint to help achieve a unified vision for the future of Romeoville,” said Mayor John Noak.
