Romeoville Seeking Full-Time Firefighters

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville's fire and police commission is seeking qualified candidates to establish an eligibility registry for immediate and future openings in the Romeoville Fire Department.

The starting salary for firefighter/paramedic is $73,000, according to the Village website. Registration must be completed by April 14, and a mandatory orientation/written exam will be held on April 22.

Requirements for the job include: must be a United States citizen, 20 to 35 years old at the time of written exam, but at least 21 at time of appointment, a valid Illinois driver's license and proof of high school diploma or GED.

At the time of hire, applicants must also be Illinois license EMT-P and have CPAT certificate with ladder climb.
