Romeoville Teen Caught Burglarizing Car: Police
The 19-year-old was nabbed after a resident spotted him peering into car windows, cops said.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A 19-year-old from Romeoville was arrested Sunday after a sharp-eyed resident spotted him looking into car windows late at night, police said. Cameron J. McKinney, of the 300 block of Macon Avenue, was positively IDed by a witness after allegedly entering an unlocked car in the 700 block of Echo Avenue and stealing items, police said.
Romeoville police said McKinney was charged in connection with one burglary but was seen looking in other car windows. All vehicles involved were unlocked, according to police.
McKinney was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $75,000, according to jail records. In January, McKinney pleaded guilty to burglary in a 2016 case, also in Romeoville, according to court records.
