Romeoville Village Board Honors RHS State Runner-Up Soccer Team
The boys soccer team took second place at the Class 3A state final tournament in the fall.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — At its meeting on Wednesday, the Romeoville Village Board honored the Romeoville High School 2022 boys soccer team.
"Just [an] amazing run," Mayor John Noak said. "Everyone I talk to can't say enough about this team."
The boys soccer team took second place at the Class 3A state final tournament in the fall. The team lost to Naperville Central, 0-1, in the state final.

Noak said the team's second-place finish is the highest of any team at Romeoville High School.
The Romeoville team is coached by RHS teacher Nick Cirrincione.

"We had a great year," Cirrincione said at the meeting. "The community got behind us."
