Son Stabbed Father, Now In Critical Condition: Police
Police arrived on the call, finding the accused stabber in the front yard, bloodied, holding a knife.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A 22-year-old is accused of stabbing his father in Romeoville Saturday afternoon, according to reports. A release from the Romeoville Police Department says Brian Engelsman Jr. is accused of stabbing his father after a domestic dispute, leaving him in critical condition.
Romeoville police responded to the home in the 400 block of Gainsborough drive on a call of a domestic dispute bewteen a husband and wife. Police arrived around 3:30 p.m. to find Engelsman Jr. in the front yard, bloodied, holding a knife.
Police entered the house, finding Brian Engelsman Sr., 49, "laying on the floor with multiple stab wounds." He told police his son stabbed him.

The initial domestic dispute, between Engelsman Sr. and his wife, was not physical, police say. Details of the stabbing are sparse.
Engelsman Sr. was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and is in critical condition, the report says. Jr. was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for wounds he got during the fight over the knife. He was released after treatment and taken into custody.

Engelsman Jr. was charged with aggravated domestic battery. He's awaiting a bond hearing in court.
