Spring Spruce Ups for Two Romeoville Parks

Discovery Park and Conservation Park

With summer around the corner, it’s time to get Romeoville parks ready for the busy season. A flurry of park improvements were approved by the Village Board, including renovation plans for Conservation Park and a playground at Discovery Park.

Conservation Park, one of the busiest in the park system, will be renovated with drainage and landscaping improvements, reconstruction of the path to ADA standards, a sanding and repainting of the shelter and fishing pavilion, and a relocated playground.

Discovery Park will receive a playground. One of the newest parks in the system, Discovery Park has soccer fields, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, and even bean bag areas. A playground will now be added to enhance the offerings even further.
