CREST HILL, IL — Statesville Haunted Prison, the self-described No. 1 Chicagoland Haunted House, will soon be hiring. Paid positions include actors, makeup artists, wardrobe/costume staff, technicians and hospitality crew.
Those looking to join Zombie Army Productions, which operates the haunted house, are invited to auditions and interviews from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.
"If you enjoy the idea of scaring people for money, or bringing your artistic talents to the show, or you are simply looking for an exciting life experience, we have a place for you," the company said.

To audition, head to Siegel's Cottonwood Farm, 17250 S. Weber Road, drive towards the back, park, walk through the fire gate near the back building and head towards the door between the two haunted house facades. Candidates should bring applicable resumes/work samples and wear comfortable clothes.
