Stolen Semi-Tractor Valued at $10K

Other items of value were also reported stolen toward the end of November and the beginning of December.

ROMEOVILLE, IL - Police received more than a few calls regarding burglaries and thefts near the Thanksgiving holiday leading into December.

On Nov. 23, two burglaries to motor vehicles were reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. A window was broken on each vehicle and bags were removed from each. The total value of items and damage is $350.

On Nov. 25, a theft of under $500 was reported in the 200 block of Normantown. Someone took an unsecured bicycle valued at $100 from a bike rack. On the same date, a theft over $500 was reported in the 200 block of Elmwood. Someone had removed the air conditioning unit from a property. The unit was valued at $750.

Later that same day, a semi-tractor valued at $10,000 was stolen from a business in the 100 block of Anton Drive.

On Dec. 1, a light projector valued at around $50 was taken from a property in the 300 block of Malibu.

The next day, a railcar chassis and container with a total value of $10,000 was taken from a business parking lot in the 1100 block of Crossroads Parkway.

Romeoville police urge people not to leave their vehicles unlocked and to make sure all possessions are kept in a secure place.
