The five main stage productions start with the musical celebration of love “A Little Night Music,” leading into Mark Twain’s American classic “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” the season continues with the newly translated, timeless comedy “Triumph of Love,” then a spin-off of Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun” is in the award-winning “Clybourne Park,” and finishing the season is the wickedly witty and modern musical “Urinetown.”

The past 40 theatre seasons at Lewis University’s PLT have lead up to this exciting upcoming year. The PLT was renovated in 1976 from an airplane hangar, and has now transformed into a wonderful tradition for generations to enjoy live theatre. The beautiful building has seen recent new additions, which include the Wadsworth Family Art Gallery, the Studio Theatre, patio area, scene shop and prop storage, and a percussion room. These areas have created a greater collaborative dynamic for the students, faculty, and staff. The PLT does not plan on slowing down anytime soon, the 40th season is merely a stepping-stone to more theatrical adventures.
