Taco Bell Final Plans Approved In Romeoville
Construction will begin this spring, with a planned opening in the fall.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — At its Wednesday meeting, the Romeoville Village Board approved final development plans for a Taco Bell.
The new fast food restaurant will be located at the corner of Route 53 and Greenwood, at 643 N. Independence.
Community Development Director Josh Potter said the property is just under an acre, and has sat vacant for several years.

"The developer is Black River Bells, and they also own and operate the Taco Bell on Weber Road," Potter said.
The restaurant will be 2,088 square feet and includes a drive-thru. The site will also have a new turn-off of Route 53 and access to Greenwood Avenue.

The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended the project to the Village Board.
Potter said the project has been under review for eight months, and the developer plans to start construction this spring, with a planned opening in the fall.
