Three Romeoville Village Trustees Take Seats, Begin New Terms

Linda Palmiter, Kenneth Griffin and Lourdes Aguirre were all re-elected as a result of the April 4 election.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Three incumbent Romeoville Village Trustees began their new terms after a swearing in during Wednesday's Village Board workshop meeting.

Linda Palmiter, Kenneth Griffin and Lourdes Aguirre were all re-elected as a result of the April 4 election. The Will County Clerk's Office certified results of the election on April 25.

The three incumbent trustees ran unopposed. According to the official results, Palmiter received 1,056 votes, Griffin received 988 votes and Aguirre received 988 votes.

According to the Village website, Griffin has served as a Village Trustee in Romeoville for the last 11 years. Aguirre was appointed in 2017, and was elected to office in 2019. Palmiter was first elected to the Board in 1995.
