Little previously worked as a correctional officer at Cook County Jail.

"In the short time that Lorielle has worked for us, it's evident that she possesses all the skills to not only be successful in law enforcement, but also have a positive impact on the community here in Romeoville," Hrodmaka said.

Jimenez has 10 years of prior police experience, Hrodmaka said. He has served in Harvey, Cicero and Palos Hills.

"Porfirio has been a field training officer, an evidence technician, juvenile officer, K-9 officer, and a gangs and narcotics officer," Hrodmaka said. In 2018, Jimenez received a life-saving award for saving another officer's life in Cicero after the officer was shot during a gun fight with gang members.

"I've spoken to a number of his previous co-workers, and they all speak highly of his previous police experience and him as a person," Hrodmaka said.
