VVSD Students Winners in Letters About Literature Contest

Several dozen students at both Lukancic and Martinez Middle School in Romeoville were among those honored nationwide in the Letters About Literature contest.

Gage Brooker from Martinez was a finalist.

Martinez semifinalists included Zoey Anthony, Darian Barney, Kevin Wojcieszek, Paulina Antolak, Sarah Coffman, Kyleanna Fitzpatrick, Emily Leahy, Hailey Maezes, Claudia Maldonado, Faith Miller, Alex Nava, Edwin Nava, Isabella Nelson, Karina Ortiz, Raquel Sanzieri, and Carissa Sexton.

Semifinalists from Lukancic included Bryan Croce, Ashley Zipperich, Madison Weaver, Sabrina Deloera, Zachary Miller, Guadlupe Villanueva, Mackenzie Blizniak, Madelyn Dryier, Gabrielle Dally, Rilie Spiecker, Victoria Dutkiewicz, Breanna McKenzie-Davis, Saifiyah Zaki, and Mario Anguiano.

Students wrote letters to authors of books that made an impact on them and touched their lives in one way or another.
