The Romeoville Fire Department is accepting applications for part-time firefighter/paramedics and part-time firefighters/EMTs.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Fire Department is now accepting applications for part-time firefighter/paramedics and firefighter/EMTs. "Romeoville is a combination three-station municipal fire department about 25 miles southwest of Chicago," according to a job posting on the village website. "Part-time personnel work 12 or 24 hour shifts every third day." The job posting advertises these benefits:

EMT applicants must be an Illinois certified Basic Operations Firefighter (BOF) or have graduated from an approved BOF program. For Paramedic applicants, BOF certification is preferred but not required. All applicants must have a current valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) certification by the time of hire.
