Will County Forest Preserves, Nature Centers Close For Christmas Day

Preserves, trails and dog parks will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 26.

WILL COUNTY, IL — In observance of the Christmas holiday, Forest Preserve District visitor centers, preserves, trails and dog parks, will be closed on Dec. 25, the forest preserve shared in a news release.

"This is the only day of the year the preserves, trails and dog parks are closed so all Forest Preserve staff can be with their families for the Christmas holiday," the preserve said.

Preserves, trails and dog parks will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 26.

Visitor centers also will be closed starting at noon on Dec. 24, and all day on Dec. 26. The preserve said Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon, Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Bolingbrook, Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville and Plum Creek Nature Center in Crete Township will resume normal business hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Dec. 27.

The Sugar Creek Administration Center in Joliet will reopen for normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Dec. 29.
