• SMTA Announces 2026 Stromberg Student Leader Scholarship Recipient (iconnect007.com) — Rosemont will host the 2026 SMTA International Conference from October 25–29, where Auburn University Ph.D. student Aditya Amatya will receive the JoAnn Stromberg Student Leader Scholarship. The $3,000 award supports electronics-focused students’ books, research, conferences, and living costs, and SMTA is already encouraging nominations and donations for next year’s scholarship cycle.
   

• Marcis Dodge Charger Daytona To Debut At MCACN (streetmusclemag.com) — A rare 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona once raced by NASCAR legend Dave Marcis will headline the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont on November 21–22. Local car fans can see the painstakingly restored, Daytona 500–proven racer alongside other historic “wing cars,” all just minutes from home without traveling into Chicago.
   

• Menudo, the Boy Band That Launched Ricky Martin, Kicks Off Its 50th Anniversary Tour This Weekend, and One Member Lost 47 Pounds to Get Back Onstage (parade.com) — Menudo’s 50th Anniversary Tour is bringing the legendary boy band to Rosemont Theatre on October 23, giving local fans a chance to see several classic members back onstage. After opening in Los Angeles, the tour stops in Rosemont before heading to New York, Mexico City, Florida, and Puerto Rico, with tickets available now through the tour’s website.
