Cardinals Fan Brings Extra Toilet To Cubs Fan Neighbor
Shorewood resident John Kohlbrecher is one of the biggest Cardinals fans in Will County. And he's proud of what he did.

SHOREWOOD, IL — It was a rough weekend for Chicago Cubs fans. The Cubs lost all four games in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field to their division rival, the first place St. Louis Cardinals. This marked the first time the Cubs were swept in a four-game series at Wrigley Field by the St. Louis Cardinals since 1921, according to Reuters.
But here in Shorewood, local resident John Kohlbrecher was proudly donning his 1980s Willie McGee St. Louis Cardinals jersey, standing outside in the rain, and carrying a toilet from the curb of his driveway over to his next door neighbor's front yard.
John Kohlbrecher's wife, Gerri Carroll Kohlbrecher, told Patch Sunday night that the last time the Chicago Cubs bested the Cardinals, their Chicago Cubs-loving neighbor "put a broom in our mailbox when the Cubs swept.

"We just happened to replace our toilet Thursday," Gerri Carroll Kohlbrecher informed Patch.
John Kohlbrecher is a true die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. He's a firm believer in this year's team. He and wife traveled to Busch Stadium to watch the Cardinals this past Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. And then, on Thursday, they visited Wrigley Field to celebrate the first of what would become a four-game sweep.

All four games were won by a single run.
"The Cardinals are dominating and devastating! Back on top where they belong!" John Kohlbrecher told Patch.
