DUI Checkpoint Saturday Night in Shorewood
The checkpoint will be at the corner of Jefferson St. and Mary St.
The Will County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Shorewood Police Department, will be conducting a Roadside Safety Checkpoint on Saturday Oct. 29 from 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. at the corner of Jefferson St. and Mary St. in Shorewood.
The checkpoint will help promote roadway safety through DUI enforcement, according to a news release from the Will County Sheriff’s Office. By having a random and periodic roadside safety checkpoint, both departments hope to dissuade the public from drinking and driving.
