The father of a woman police say had sex atop the bodies of two slain men testified Wednesday at a Shorewood woman’s murder trial.

Phillip Massaro, a factory worker now living with his mother, resided in theHickory Street Nightmare house when 22-year-olds Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover were strangled to death there in January 2013.

Phillip Massaro was home at the time of the killings. He was sleeping on a couch in a downstairs room.

Phillip Massaro’s daughter, Alisa Massaro, 20, and three of her friends—Joshua Miner, 26, Adam Landerman, 21, Bethany McKee, 20—were upstairs in what Phillip Massaro described as a sort of separate apartment. Alisa Massaro and her friends were arrested and charged with killing Rankins and Glover so they could steal the money from their pockets.

Alisa Massaro wiggled out of the murder case in May by copping a plea to reduced charges of robbery and concealing homicides. Prosecutors agreed to the plea deal to secure Massaro’s future testimony against her three alleged accomplices. She is due to be released from prison in less than three and a half years.

Alisa Massaro may testify Thursday. Miner and Landerman remain in the Will County jail awaiting trial. McKee’s trial started Monday and Phillip Massaro was called to testify.

On the witness stand, Phillip Massaro recalled how he came home from work on the night of the killings. He drank three beers, he said, watched television and fell asleep on his couch. He woke about 9:30 p.m., he said.

“There was a loud noise upstairs,” Phillip Massaro said. “It sounded like somebody wrestling or something.”

Phillip Massaro said he shouted up at the ceiling and then noticed his daughter and McKee were in the room with him.

“I asked what was going on up there because there was still a noise,” he said, and his daughter told him “the TV was falling off the dresser and there were problems, there was two dudes.”

Phillip Massaro said he told his daughter and McKee to “keep it down up there and shortly after that the noise stopped and I said, ‘Good, keep it down.’”

Phillip Massaro went to work in the morning and when he returned that evening, the police were at his house and had his street blocked off.

Rankins and Glover were killed after were killed after Alisa Massaro and McKee lured them to the Hickory Street house, according to police reports obtained exclusively by Patch. Miner and Landerman throttled the two men to death, the reports said, and once Rankins and Glover were dead,Massaro and Miner had sex atop their bodies. Alisa Massaro, McKee, Miner and Landerman then concocted a plan to dismember the corpses of their victims and began procuring supplies, including a blowtorch, to carry out the plan, the reports said. Miner reportedly intended to keep the dead men’s teeth as trophies.

Defense attorney Neil Patel tried to ask Phillip Massaro whether his daughter is bipolar. Prosecutor Daniel Walsh objected and Will County Judge Gerald Kinney disallowed the question.

When she pleaded guilty in May, Alisa Massaro said she took medication for anxiety and depression.
