History came to life for students participating in the Joliet West History Fair on May 19. During the event, students presented their projects to administrative and faculty volunteers who provided feedback and critique.
“As educators for JTHS, we are determined to promote excellence in education and allow students to assimilate skills that will be applicable for a successful educational career,” said teacher Danielle Schmidt. “We feel the history fair is a way to celebrate the learning experience and deepen the students’ appreciation of their research and overall educational experience.”

“The History Fair, as part of the curriculum, builds upon the freshmen experiences in World Affairs and continues to prepare students for a culminating senior project,” said Schmidt. “The projects represent a great deal of work for the students involved, and overall they did a fantastic job.”
