On Nov. 20, over 100 sophomore students from the Joliet West High School Academy of Arts & Communication visited Lewis University’s Phillip Lynch Theatre to experience comprehensive interdisciplinary concepts relating to English, Physics and Geometry.
“The visit was made possible through the generosity of a JTHS Foundation grant and was extremely beneficial to our students interested in Performing Arts, Media Communications and Visual Arts,” said Academy Coordinator Terri Schrishuhn. “During the visit students learned about stage lighting, public relations, and costume/set design. The concepts they learned really came to life with the hands-on experience that the students gained.”

The students also had the opportunity to view Lewis’ production of To Kill A Mockingbird. “I am extremely grateful to the foundation for making this experience possible,” said Schrishuhn.
