The Charles McCullum murder case is on hold pending a psychological test.
McCullum's case was scheduled to continue Oct. 11.
McCullum was charged with the brutal murder of his mother, Jeanie Parker. After strangling her, stabbing her and driving a knife into her chest with a baseball bat, he dumped her body in the Des Plaines River, a prosecutor said.
