New Animal Clinic Coming to Shorewood
Animal Care Center, which also has locations in Plainfield, Oswego and other area towns, will open on Brookforest Avenue.
Shorewood trustees this week approved the village’s second animal clinic.
Kremer Veterinary Services, which operates seven other animal hospitals in the area, will open the Shorewood Animal Care Center at the former site of Al’s Beef/Nancy’s Pizza at 189 Brookforest Ave., the Bugle newspaper reported.
Kremer also operates the Animal Care Center in Plainfield, Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic in Channhon/Minooka and Hinsdale Animal Hospital, among others. Care Animal Emergency Services operates out of the Plainfield location at 14411 S. Route 59.

The Shorewood clincic will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays.
The location will be built on a vacant lot where the two restaurants were formerly located. If construction goes as planned, the clinic could be open by September, according to the Bugle.
