Obituary: Christopher S. Medvesky

Owner and operator of Sierra Rose Consulting passes away at the age of 51.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Christopher S. Medvesky

Age 51, of Olympia Fields and formerly New Lenox, Illinois, passed from this life, Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Chris was born January 25, 1973. He was the son of Annette (Peceniak) and Stephen Medvesky. He was raised in New Lenox, IL, and graduated from St. Jude School, New Lenox, and Joliet Catholic Academy, class of 1991. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and worked in IT for several years until starting his own company, Sierra Rose Consulting, developing software systems and consulting.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Yingxue Wang "Snowy" Medvesky; son, Nicholas "Niko" Medvesky; father, Stephen (Judy Pfanenstiel) Medvesky, his father-in-law, Yaowu Wang, and mother-in-law, Weiqi Ke, as well as many more loved ones.

Preceded in death by his mother, Annette (nee Peceniak) Medvesky in 2009.

Chris enjoyed playing golf, skiing, and biking. He was a car enthusiast who favored his "Project Honda". He adored spending time with his family and will be sorely missed by his loved ones, including his faithful Yorkie, Manny.

Visitation for Chris will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A prayer service will conclude the afternoon beginning at 4 p.m.

Private interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in New Lenox.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to benefit his son Nicholas Medvesky's future education.
