Maria Guadalupe Martinez

Maria Guadalupe (Lupita) Martinez, passed away at the age of 85, on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Lightways Hospice, with the love of her family by her side. Maria was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on July 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Pedro Diaz Ramiro and Juana Gonzalez Castillo.

Maria is survived by her sons, Alvaro (Maria Luisa) Martinez, Crispin (Lilia) Martinez, Gustavo (Rosa) Martinez, Ruben (Rosaura) Martinez; and her daughter, Madai (Oscar) Rangel; her beloved grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jazmine, Yadira, Omar, Gustavo, Linsey, Dulce, Ruben Jr., Crystal, Andy, Alex, Hailey; great-grandchildren; her sister, Micaela Diaz de Ramiro; as well as cherished nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her husband, Crispin Martinez, her parents; and her brothers, Justo Diaz Gonzalez and Santiago Diaz Gonzalez;.

A Memorial Service for Maria Guadalupe Martinez will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15827 S. Frederick Ave., Plainfield, IL. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
