Miles Edward Lebensorger, age 81, of Elwood, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Silver Cross Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

Born January 19, 1942, in Chicago, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Ivanovich) Lebensorger. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and the Army Reserve, serving from 1964 to 1969.
Miles enjoyed a long and rewarding career with Encyclopedia Britannica, working himself through the ranks and retiring as Manager of Purchasing and Printing.

He was a lifelong Christian and patriot, and a faithful member of River of Life Lutheran Church, where he also was an active volunteer.
A true gentleman with a kind and easy-going personality, Miles will be remembered for his ability to take care of whatever needed to be done. He handled difficult matters in a calm and level-headed manner and was liked by all he met. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking, but loved most the time spent with his family and visits with his brothers.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 30 years, Diane (Bozec) Lebensorger; his children, Michael Lebensorger, Alan Lebensorger, Kathleen (David) Goodpaster, and Lawrence (Karen) Ferguson; seven grandchildren, Alliyah Lebensorger, Gracie Lebensorger, Trent Lebensorger, Fox (Andrew) Thomas, Hawk Lebensorger, Abbey McNally and Sean McNally; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Barbara) Lebensorger, William (Sheila) Lebensorger and Joseph (Annette) Lebensorger; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Miles Lebensorger will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at River of Life Lutheran Church, 24901 S. Sage Street, Channahon, IL 60410. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until the time of services, at the church. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the United States Army and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to River of Life Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
