Patricia Louise Fox, age 80, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Patricia was born in Peoria, IL on September 13, 1943, to the late Francis J. and Elda L. Fox. She lived for many years in the Wilmington area before retiring to The Timbers in Shorewood. Patricia was great with numbers and worked in the banking industry for many years, before settling in as the bookkeeper at Reed Custer High School. She loved playing cards and Yahtzee. She also had a deep passion for animals. She had pets all her life, often several at a time, most of which she rescued from local animal shelters. In addition, Patricia regularly supported local animal shelters and charities.
Patricia is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Palmer of Sandwich, IL; two sons, Ronald (Rhonda) Blacklock, Jr. of Lebanon, IN, and Dennis (Kathy) Blacklock of Plainfield, IL; her daughter, Kelly (Barry) Bell of Hampton, GA; her two stepsons, Tommie (Janine) Jones of Essex, IL, and Bobby (Christin) Jones of Cinnaminson, NJ; her six grandchildren, Nicholas (Brandy) Blacklock, Matthew (Kory) Blacklock, Lauren (Tim) Hood, Kaitlin (Sam) Kemp, Lani (Erin) Hough, and Taylor (Ty) Hasty; and her thirteen great-grandchildren, Xander Blacklock, Odin and Nora Blacklock, Hannah, Morgan, and Emily Hood, Addison, Wren and Calvin Kemp, Cooper, Briggs, and Brady Hasty, and Ripkin Hough.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommie F. Jones; her parents; her sister, Joyce A. (nee Fox) Simbeck; and stepdaughter, Renee Stewart.
As it was Patricia’s final wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and a Memorial Service is planned for December 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Peoria IL. She will be laid to rest at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials can be made through contributions to your favorite pet shelter or charity in Patricia’s name.
