In 2014, out of a population of 16,490, Shorewood had nine violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, three rapes, two robberies, four aggravated assaults, 136 property crimes, 22 burglaries, 106 larcenies, eight motor vehicle thefts and two reported instances of arson.

In 2013, out of a population of 16,387, Shorewood had 18 violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, four rapes, one robbery, 13 aggravated assaults, 158 property crimes, 34 burglaries, 121 larcenies, three motor vehicle thefts and two reported instances of arson.

Comparatively in 2014, out of a population of 147,838, Joliet had 495 violent crimes, eight murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, 24 rapes, 115 robberies, 348 aggravated assaults, 2,988 property crimes, 642 burglaries, 2, 231 larcenies, 115 motor vehicle thefts and 47 reported instances of arson.

Channahon, out of a population of 12,605 had four violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, zero rapes, two robberies, two aggravated assaults, 61 property crimes, four burglaries, 56 larcenies, one motor vehicle theft and zero reported instances of arson.

Minooka, out of a population of 11,174, had seven violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, zero rapes, zero robberies, seven aggravated assaults, 118 property crimes, seven burglaries, 110 larcenies, one motor vehicle theft and zero reported instances of arson.
