• Public asked to help decide future of downtown Silvis (wqad.com) — Major changes are being planned for First Avenue in downtown Silvis, and IDOT is still asking residents to weigh in. Proposed upgrades include full pavement reconstruction, new sidewalks or paths, added bike lanes, on-street parking, and drainage improvements along Illinois 84/92 from 19th Street to the Illinois 5 interchange. Construction is years away, so residents can still email or mail comments.
