100 Feet Of Copper Pipe Stolen From Old Orchard: Skokie Crimes

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested. Readers are reminded an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.

INCIDENTS

BATTERY
A ride-hailing driver reported being slapped with an open hand by a passenger in the 9000 block of Gross Point Road between 1:30 and 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 1.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 2, an irate customer called Walmart and requested a copy of her receipt. When staff told her she would have to come to the store to pick it up she told them, "I'll have to drop a bomb on you guys."

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Someone flashed a handgun at another person in the 3300 block of Church Street shortly after 1 p.m. on Feb. 2.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone punctured the tires of a vehicle parked in the 8700 block of Harding during the overnight hours on Feb. 1-2.

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
Police said a Skokie resident reported receiving an image depicting child pornography via Facebook messenger shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 3. Police said it had been circulated around the world from an unknown source.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Cars parked in the 7800 block of Karlov Avenue were reportedly damage by a BB gun between Jan. 10 and Feb. 3.

THEFT
Someone stole a firearm from a vehicle, possibly while it was at a car wash in the 8400 block of Niles Center Road on Feb. 5. The gun was located underneath the driver's seat of a vehicle during the wash, but its owner was not certain it was stolen at that location.

THEFT
Someone stole 100 feet of copper pipe from a construction site at the Old Orchard Shopping Center between 7 and 8 a.m. on Feb. 7.

STOLEN CAR FOUND
A car reported stolen from Mount Prospect was found in the 9400 block of Lavergne Avenue, where it was believed to have been left between Jan. 23 and Feb. 7.

CAR STOLEN
An unspecified vehicle was stolen from the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road between 1:30 and 4:36 p.m. on Feb. 7.

CAR STOLEN
An unspecified vehicle was reported stolen from the 3900 block of Fargo Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on Feb. 7.

ARRESTS

A 26-year-old Evanston man was arrested at 1:34 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 3300 block of Church Street and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Osmond C. Anleu, 33, of the 2300 block of West Foster Avenue, was arrested at his home at 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 2 and charged with endangering the life or health of a child.

A 21-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 10:31 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 8600 block of Crawford Avenue and charged with driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Eduardo Rodriguez, 24, of the 2400 block of Montclair Lane, Montgomery, was arrested at 7:35 a.m. on Feb. 3 in the 9400 block of Harding Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08.

Theresa M. Fischer, 61, of the 2200 block of Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, was arrested at 10:51 a.m. on Feb. 3 at Skokie Hospital and charged with trespassing in connection with an incident that morning.

Darryl E. Johnson, 51, of the 8200 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, was arrested at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the 5200 block of Dempster Street on an in-state warrant.

A 32-year-old Chicago man was arrested shortly before 4 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the 7200 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Manuel M. Agualema, 38, of the 2200 block of North Kildare Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:46 a.m. on Feb. 4 in the 3900 block of Brummel Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid license.

Marella Garcia Cruz, 27, and Grace D. Garcia, 56, both of the 7300 block of North Sheridan Road, Chicago, were arrested at 5:12 p.m. on Feb. 5 and charged with retail theft at the Walmart in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue.

Joseph T. Fairbairn, 48, of the 27000 block of Rustic Wood Lane, Plainfield, was arrested shortly before 4 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 4900 block of Dempster Street on an in-state warrant. He was arrested again at 6:15 p.m. at the Skokie Police Department on an out-of-state warrant.

Tiffany M. Wallenberg, 20, of the 6700 block of Palma Lane, Morton Grove, was arrested at 10:04 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Stephen G. Stone, 33, of the 4800 block of Mulford Street, Skokie, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. on Feb. 7 at his home and charged with possessing a controlled substance.

A 34-year-old Skokie man was arrested at 12:42 a.m. on Feb. 8 in the 7600 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with driving without a license.

A 28-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 8 in the 3800 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

A 38-year-old Lincolnwood man was arrested at 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 4700 block of Church Street and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
