4 Arrested At Hotel After Deceptive Practices Report: Blotter
Charges of aggravated battery to a senior, a robbery at Old Orchard on the Skokie police blotter from March 22 to April 5.

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. An arrest is not evidence of guilt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
INCIDENTS
GUNFIRE
Someone fired nine bullets in an alley behind the 8500 block of Lawndale Avenue around 3 a.m. on March 23.
COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY
Two people paid a bill at Panera Bread, 5508 Touhy Ave., using fake currency between 4:14 and 6 p.m. on March 23.

FELONY THEFT
Someone known by employees stole more than $500 worth of property from the Apple Store at the Old Orchard shopping center between 5:34 and 8 p.m. on March 12, police were told on March 23.
SEXUAL ABUSE
An incident of aggravated criminal sexual abuse was reported in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road shortly before 7 p.m. on March 26. A 39-year-old Beach Park man was taken into custody in connection with the incident and later released without charges.

STOLEN CAR FOUND
A stolen car was recovered with some damage in the 4800 block of Elm Street at 6:17 a.m. on March 29.
HATE CRIME
A hate crime took place around 1:45 p.m. on March 30 in the area of Dempster Street and Lockwood Avenue, police were told.
ROBBERY
A robbery and battery was reported in the 9600 block of Skokie Boulevard between 5:30 and 6:16 p.m. on March 30. No further information was immediately available from
HIT-AND-RUN
An apparent DUI driver left the scene of a traffic crash in the 8500 block of Skokie Boulevard around 7:38 p.m. on April 3. No further information was available from police.

ARRESTS
Alexis Benito Rodriguez, 27, of the 6500 block of North Clark Street, Chicago, was arrested around 4 a.m. on March 22 in the 8000 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ari B. Davidson, 32, of the 9000 block of Kilbourn Avenue, Skokie, was arrested around 4:30 a.m. on March 22 in the 9000 block of Lavergne Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
Michael G. Schiewe, 48, of the 4200 block of Sundance Court in Gilbert, Arizona, was arrested around 6 p.m. on March 22 at the Old Orchard shopping center and charged with battery.
Anthony L. Westby, 20, of the 8900 block of Lamon Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. on March 23 and charged with robbery, aggravated battery, resisting police and obstructing identification following an incident at the Old Orchard shopping center that took place between 10:30 and 11 a.m. that day.
Lucea M. Pena, 56, of the 3500 block of West Bertau Avenue, Chicago, and Luz A. Perugachi Villarea, 54, of the 3700 block of West Addison Street, Chicago, were arrested at 8:33 p..m on March 23 at the Old Orchard shopping center and charged with retail theft. Pena was also charged with obstructing justice.
Steven P. Foss, 32, of the 6400 block of Coach House Road, Lisle, was arrested at 12:12 p.m. on March 24 at the Old Orchard shopping center on an active in-state arrest warrant. He was also charged with retail theft.
Killian Robert Rayl, 27, of the 1200 block of Huntington Drive, Mundelein, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. on March 25 in the 9600 block of Crawford Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater.
Jeremy A. Brook, 28, of the 1600 block of Simpson Street, Evanston, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. on March 28 in the 9600 block of Waukegan Road on an active in-state arrest warrant and charged with obstructing identification and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Tanille D. Clair, 26, of the 6400 block of South Seeley Avenue, Chicago, D'Antignay C. Brashear, 23, of the 6400 block of South King Drive, Chicago, and Takia D. Kinds, 22, of the 6900 block of South Everhart Drive, Chicago, were arrested around 2 p.m. on March 29 and charged with retail theft at Carter's Babies & Kids, 7145 Central Ave. Kinds was also charged with possession of theft-related devices.
Nayeli Menzano Mendez, 23, of the 2400 block of Leslie Lane, Hanover Park, was arrested at 6 p.m. on March 29 at the Old Orchard shopping center and charged with theft of more than $300.
Analyn A. Arzaga, 43, of the 1100 block of Dickens Way, Schaumburg, Alexander A. Apacible, 47, of the 4900 block of North Troy Street, Chicago, Cirilo Labena Luciano, 56, of the 5800 block of North Bernard Street, Chicago, and Joel F. Pasia, 37, of the 5000 block of West Fitch Avenue, Skokie, were arrested between 11:30 a.m. and noon on March 30 at the Hampton Inn, 5201 Old Orchard Road following a report of deceptive practices. Arzaga was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment. Apacible and Luciano were each charged with identity theft and possession of someone else's card. Pasia was charged with felony possession of a fraudulent identity card.
Monica L. Davenport, 34, of the 1100 block of West Erie Street, Chicago, was arrested around 8 a.m. on March 31 and charged with retail theft at the Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave.
Pedro Custodio, 50, of the 7700 block of Lowell Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at 4:18 p.m. on March 31 at his home on an active in-state arrest warrant.
Krysteena M. Dalton, 27, of the 2000 block of Foster Avenue, Evanston, was arrested at 3:19 p.m. on April 1 at the Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave., and charged with retail theft.
Guadulpe Morales-Maldonado, 54, of the 1600 block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago, Cynzabeth G. Gomez Morales, 30, of the 4900 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue, Chicago, and Yurith Gomez, 26, of the 1600 block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago, were arrested between 10 and 11:30 p.m. on April 1 at the Old Orchard shopping center and charged with retail theft.
Aboudou S. Adamou, 25, of the 7300 block of North Ridge Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested around 8 p.m. on April 2 at the Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave., and charged with retail theft.
Keyona R. Chestnut, 23, of the 6300 block of South Artesian Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 6 p.m. on April 3 at the TJ Maxx, 3337 Golf Road, on three active in-state arrest warrants and a charge of retail theft.
Jesssica B. Schneider, 37, of the 6700 block of North Kimball Avenue, Lincolnwood, was arrested around 11 p.m. on April 4 at the Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave., and charged with retail theft.
Ayesha U. B. Syeda, 27, of the 6500 block of North Washtenaw Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. on April 5 at the Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave., and charged with retail theft.
Ali Q. Selman, 26, of the 7800 block of Niles Avenue, Skokie, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on April 5 and charged with aggravated assault in the 8000 block of Skokie Boulevard in connection with an incident around 9:30 p.m. on April 1 where police were told someone threatened to kill a store owner in the 7900 block of Lincoln Avenue and raised a bottle as if threatening to strike a vehicle before fleeing west on Oakton. Selman was also charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and aggravated battery to a senior in connection with unspecified incidents. No further information was immediately available from police.
Larry E. Caldwell, 59, of the 6900 block of West 69th Street, Chicago, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. on April 5 around the Skokie Yellow Line station and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment, theft of labor or services, retail theft, criminal trespassing on state property and possession of a tool to remove theft detection devices.
Gina P. Acacia, 34, of the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue, Evanston was arrested at Skokie Hospital around 9 p.m. on April 5 on an active in-state arrest warrant.
